Youth Programs Coordinator & Marketing
The Carthage Public Library is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, organized individual who enjoys working with children and planning events. This individual will plan, publicize, and implement a wide range of programs for children and teens during the school year, as well as a dynamic Summer Reading Program for all ages. Must be able to work independently, deal with multiple on-going projects, and prioritize tasks. Computer skills and proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Google Suite programs, and the ability to learn to use other applications is required, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with children and planning activities is a high priority. Marketing experience is a plus. No previous library experience required.
This is a part-time position, 28-34 hours per week. The schedule is somewhat flexible but includes some morning hours, after school and evening hours, and some Saturdays. The duties could be divided into two positions: children and teen/tween or daytime activities vs after school and evening activities. Marketing responsibilities could also be divided.
